Locked Apps Can Still Be Closed

This isn’t much of a problem on devices like the Galaxy S9 or Google Pixel 2, but it’s stronger when you have a lot of apps open and running.

1. Launch the New Application menu. The method of accessing this menu varies slightly from device to device. For example, on the LG G5, you press the square button to get new apps, while on Galaxy devices, the image looks like two 90-degree angles.

3. Touch and hold an app and swipe right. This should kill the process and free up some RAM. If you want to close everything, click the “Clear All” button if you have it.

4. Go to Apps tab in Settings if your phone is running slow. On Samsung phones, this menu is called “Application Manager”. On LG phones, go to Settings > General > Apps.
